Choosing a minivan for 8–9 people

8 or 9 seats, automatic or manual, luggage space and the licence you need.

All our minivans are Ford Tourneo Custom (2023–2025). A standard B licence is enough.

8 or 9 seats?

9 seats (3+3+3) when everyone travels. 8 seats (2+3+3) gives more room up front; with 7 people the spare seat becomes bag space.

Automatic or manual?

With a full van, automatic is far more relaxed. We have an 8-seat automatic and the newest 2025 9-seat automatic; the 9-seat manual is the budget option.

Luggage

With 9 people, luggage goes behind the third row – backpacks and a few suitcases. If everyone brings a large suitcase, plan for 7–8 passengers.

Do you rent 9-seat cars?

Yes – Ford Tourneo Custom: 9 seats with automatic (2025) or manual (2023) gearbox, and 8 seats with automatic. All can be driven on a standard B licence.

Is a B licence enough for a 9-seater?

Yes. Nine seats including the driver is within the B category – no extra licence needed.

How much luggage fits in the 9-seater?

With 9 people, luggage goes behind the third row – backpacks and a few suitcases. If everyone brings large suitcases, plan for 7–8 passengers or contact us and we will advise.

Is mileage limited?

Cars have unlimited mileage in Lithuania. Minivans include 500 km per day (pooled over the rental, e.g. 10 days = 5,000 km); beyond that it is €0.15/km.
